It looked like the game might be headed to overtime, but the Knighthawks' Johnny Powless scored the go-ahead goal with just over three minutes remaining. Rochester stalwart and eventual Hall of Famer Matt Vinc turned away all Calgary's chances in those final minutes to secure a third-straight championship, unseating the Roughnecks.
