The 2017 Nebraska Open was a major event in the world of sports. Hosted from June 19-25, this tournament brought together some of the best players from around the country and beyond to compete in various divisions.

Held at the Koch Tennis Center in Omaha, Nebraska, the tournament featured a total of five divisions for both men and women: Open Singles, Open Doubles, NTRP Singles, NTRP Doubles, and Wheelchair Singles. The competition was fierce in all divisions as players of various skill levels worked hard to earn their victories.

One of the standout performers of the tournament was professional tennis player Ming Xi. The former top-20 player in the world showed her dominance by capturing the singles title while also teaming up with another pro, Jennifer Elie, to win the doubles championship.

But it wasn't just the pros who took center stage during the Nebraska Open. Amateur players of different ages and backgrounds were also given the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete against one another for prizes and recognition.

In the Open Singles division, it was local tennis player Brett Berger who emerged as the champion after winning four straight matches en route to the title. In doubles, brothers Talon and Tanner Wright teamed up to capture the crown after defeating multiple opponents.

Aside from tennis, the Nebraska Open also had a strong focus on giving back to the community. Proceeds from the tournament went to benefit the Great Plains Tennis Foundation, which works to promote and grow tennis in the region.

The 2017 Nebraska Open was yet another example of how sports can bring people together and create a sense of camaraderie within communities. By showcasing the talents of both amateur and professional athletes, this tournament gave everyone an opportunity to appreciate the beauty and athleticism of tennis while also supporting a worthy cause.
