65 Roses CF for Cystic Fibrosis 2017 Tickets

The 65 Roses CF campaign for Cystic Fibrosis is an annual event that raises awareness and funds for those living with the condition. This year, the campaign is not only focused on spreading information about CF, but also highlighting the involvement of sports in supporting the cause.

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic condition that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs in the body. Patients with CF have thick mucus build-up in their airways, which causes difficulty breathing and infection. There is currently no cure for CF and life expectancy is reduced for those who live with it.

The 65 Roses CF campaign aims to raise money for research into finding a cure for the disease and to provide support for those living with it. The campaign gets its name from the way children with CF often pronounce the words “cystic fibrosis” as “sixty-five roses.”

This year, the campaign has partnered with various sporting organizations and athletes to show their support for the cause. One of the main partners is the National Football League (NFL) who will be supporting 65 Roses through the My Cause My Cleats campaign. This initiative gives NFL players the opportunity to customize their cleats with designs that represent causes close to their heart. Players from all 32 teams in the league will wear these customized cleats during Week 13 games and auctions will be held to raise money for the different charities.

Another sporting partnership is with the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). WTA players will participate in a social media campaign by sharing photos with the hashtag #CFStandsFor so as to encourage others to learn more about cystic fibrosis.

Several athletes have also become ambassadors for this year’s campaign including former NFL player, Boomer Esiason, whose son has CF, tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, and Olympic gold medalist, Katie Meili.

Through these partnerships and collaborations, the 65 Roses campaign has the potential to reach a wider audience and raise more money for those living with CF. It is inspiring to see the sports community come together to support such an important cause and we can only hope that this will bring us a step closer to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.
