She co-wrote the theme song for the hit TV show Friends, which became one of the most recognizable pieces of music in pop culture history. She also penned classics like Earth, Wind & Fire's "September," The Pointer Sisters' "Neutron Dance" and "I'll Be There For You (Theme from Friends)".
Throughout her career, Willis was no stranger to performing live on stage. In addition to her numerous writing credits, she also released several albums of her own music. In 2014, she even won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for her work on the Broadway version of The Color Purple.
Willis' music has been enjoyed by millions of people all over the world, and her influence can still be felt today. Even after her passing in 2019, her music continues to inspire new generations of artists and fans. And while she may no longer be with us, her love for live music will always be remembered.
