Mansour was born on August 14, 1972, in Wilmington, Delaware. He grew up in tough neighborhoods where fighting was a way of life. His love for boxing began at a young age, watching Muhammad Ali on television.

In 2014, Mansour faced Steve Cunningham for the USBA heavyweight title. Despite being a heavy favorite, Cunningham struggled against Mansour's relaxed style and eventually lost by unanimous decision.
Mansour faced WBC champion Deontay Wilder in 2015, but lost by knockout in the fifth round. Despite this setback, he continued to fight and build upon his reputation as one of the sport's toughest competitors.
