Ashford’s journey into theater began in Denver, Colorado, where she took part in various community theater productions while growing up. She went on to study acting at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, honing her skills as a performer in the bustling city.
Ashford’s first major break came in 2007 when she appeared in the Broadway production of Wicked as the standby for the character Glinda. The experience was invaluable for Ashford, who gained exposure and recognition within the industry.
