The Baltimore Brigade is owned by Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which also owns the NBA’s Washington Wizards and NHL’s Washington Capitals. The team is managed by Head Coach Omarr Smith who was previously a player in the AFL for several years before transitioning into coaching.
The team’s inaugural season in 2017 wasn’t particularly successful, as the Brigade finished with a record of 4-10 and missed out on the playoffs. However, during the 2018 season, the Brigade improved tremendously and made it to the playoffs with a record of 7-5, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.
One of the key players on the Brigade’s roster is quarterback Randy Hippeard. Hippeard has been playing in the AFL since 2012 and was named the league’s MVP in 2017. In addition to his success on the field, Hippeard is also highly involved in the community and frequently volunteers his time for charity organizations.
The Brigade has done an excellent job of engaging with the community and creating a unique game-day experience.
