Barbara Cook is a legendary Broadway performer who has graced the stage for over six decades. Despite dealing with health issues in the 1990s, Cook never lost her passion for performing. In fact, she embarked on an acclaimed one-woman show that highlighted her life and career, entitled Barbara Cook: A Concert for the Theatre. The show earned her a Tony Award nomination in 2002.

Cook continued to perform well into her 80s, despite experiencing health concerns. Her most recent Broadway appearance was in 2010 when she starred in Sondheim on Sondheim—a musical revue featuring the works of Stephen Sondheim.
