Benjamin Watson is a talented athlete who has made an impact on and off the football field. But did you know that he also has experience in theater?

Watson was born in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1980 and attended the University of Georgia. In addition to his studies in finance, he also pursued his passion for acting by taking theater classes.

While at the University of Georgia, Watson landed a role in the school's production of "Raisin in the Sun." He played the character of Walter Lee Younger, a struggling African American man who dreams of opening his own business. Watson's portrayal of the character earned him praise from both his fellow cast members and audience members.

In an interview with ESPN, Watson spoke about his love for theater and how it has helped him with football:

"Theater helps me on the field because [with] sports and acting, there’s a certain amount of performance that’s required. You have to get up and do the job. You have to be confident. The ability to go out and perform no matter the situation – it all goes hand in hand.”

After leaving the University of Georgia, Watson was drafted by the New England Patriots in 2004 and went on to have a successful NFL career, playing for teams such as the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and New Orleans Saints.

Despite his busy football career, Watson continued to pursue his love for theater. In 2008, he starred in a production of "The King and I" at the Aronoff Center for the Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio. Watson played the role of the King of Siam alongside Shannon Bex from the pop group Danity Kane.

In an interview with Cincinnati.com, Watson spoke about his experience working on the play:

"It's been a great experience," Watson said. "I had done some things in college but I never really got a chance to dive into it because athletics took all of my time. Now that I have some free time, I decided to jump back into it to see if I still had the bug."

Throughout his career, Benjamin Watson has proven to be a multi-talented individual with a passion for both sports and theater. His performances on stage have drawn praise from audiences and critics alike and show that he truly is a jack-of-all-trades.
