Central Connecticut State Baseball is one of the top collegiate baseball programs in the Northeast region of the United States. The Blue Devils, as they are referred to, have a rich history and tradition of success on the diamond. From star players to impressive team accomplishments, the Central Connecticut State Baseball program has made a name for itself in the world of baseball.

The team has consistently been competitive over the years, making 14 NCAA Division I regional appearances since 1957. The Blue Devils' most recent NCAA postseason appearance came in 2018, where they won the Northeast Conference championship before falling in the regional tournament to eventual national champions Oregon State.

There have been numerous standout players to come through Central Connecticut State's baseball program. Dave Wallace, who later became a pitching coach for several MLB teams including the Boston Red Sox, pitched for the Blue Devils in the early 1970s. Outfielder John Jaso, who played for six different MLB teams from 2008-2017, also spent time at Central Connecticut State. In 2019, shortstop Ryan Costello was playing for the Twins organization when he tragically passed away at the age of 23.

Baseball is a huge part of the culture on campus, with fans, students, and alumni rallying behind their Blue Devils every season. The program plays its home games at CCSU Baseball Field, which was renovated in 2013 and seats up to 1,000 spectators.
