The Central Illinois Flying Aces is a junior ice hockey team that is based in Bloomington, Illinois. They play in the United States Hockey League (USHL), which is considered to be one of the top junior leagues in all of North America. However, in 1994 the team moved and was renamed the Springfield Blues, where they played until 2006 when they were then purchased by the Bloomington Blaze organization. In 2017, the team changed their name yet again, this time to the current Central Illinois Flying Aces.
