The D.L.S. Coalition Bowl is an annual football game that is held in honor of a beloved member of the community, David Lawrence Satterwhite. The game is played in Pasadena, Texas, and features two high school teams from the Houston area.

David Lawrence Satterwhite was born on January 8th, 1986, in Houston, Texas. He attended Deer Park High School where he excelled both academically and athletically. David was an avid football player, and he worked hard to become one of the best players on his team.

After graduating high school, David went on to attend college at Sam Houston State University. Unfortunately, during his sophomore year, he was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. David fought bravely against the disease but passed away in March 2007.

In honor of their fallen friend, a group of David's former classmates and teammates established the D.L.S. Coalition, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising money for cancer research and bringing awareness to the disease. The organization hosts several events throughout the year, but the D.L.S. Coalition Bowl is undoubtedly their most significant event.

The football game is a way for the community to come together and celebrate David's life while also supporting a great cause.
