The Eastern Washington Eagles basketball program was established in 1901 and is a member of the Big Sky Conference in NCAA Division I. Over the years, the program has had its highs and lows, but in recent years, it has become one of the most successful programs in the state of Washington.

The team finished second in the Big Sky Conference with a 12-3 record and advanced to the championship game of the conference tournament.
