Faizon Love is an American actor and comedian who has made significant contributions to the world of comedy. He was born Langston Faizon Santisima in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba on June 4, 1968, before relocating to New Jersey at a young age. With over three decades of experience, Faizon Love’s career in stand-up comedy and acting has been nothing short of impressive.

Faizon Love's comedy journey began in earnest at the early age of 15 when he opened for such comics as Chris Rock and Gilbert Gottfried. Some years later, in 1992, Faizon joined Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam - a platform that attracted some of the best comedians in history. In his early years, Faizon drew inspiration from the likes of Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Redd Foxx, Martin Lawrence, and Bernie Mac, among others.

However, it has not always been smooth sailing for Faizon Love. In 2017, he publicly criticized the role he played in the film Couples Retreat. Love claimed that Universal Pictures removed a poster featuring him and his co-star Kali Hawk because he was black and that the poster was an example of "racist Hollywood." Love sued Universal for discrimination, and while the company initially tried to have the case dismissed, they eventually settled out of court.
