The Seminoles have made 31 NCAA tournament appearances, won 18 conference championships, and advanced to the Women's College World Series 12 times.

One of the key factors to the success of the FSU softball program is their coaching staff. Head coach Lonni Alameda has been with the program since 2009 and has built a reputation as one of the top coaches in the country. She has led the Seminoles to some of their biggest victories and has helped develop numerous players who have gone on to successful careers in professional softball.

Just like the softball program, the Florida State University baseball program has a storied past that stretches back to the early days of the school. The Seminoles began their baseball program in 1948 under head coach "Big Daddy" Clarence Watson. They have since seen tremendous success, making 58 NCAA tournament appearances, winning 18 conference championships, and earning a spot in the College World Series 23 times.

Head coach Mike Martin was at the helm of the program for an incredible 40 years before retiring in 2019. During his time as head coach, he guided the Seminoles to over 2,000 victories and coached multiple All-Americans and future Major League Baseball standouts. In his final season as head coach, the team went on a memorable postseason run and finished as the national runner-up in the College World Series.

Despite their separate histories and achievements, the Florida State University softball and baseball programs share many similarities. Both teams have dedicated fan bases that support them through thick and thin. They both play in first-class facilities with some of the best playing surfaces in the country. And most importantly, they both represent the university and their community with pride and passion.

In recent years, there has been a renewed focus on promoting both sports together. Annual events such as "Baseball-Softball Day" allow fans to watch both teams compete on the same day, further reinforcing the strong connection between the two programs. Additionally, both teams regularly participate in community service initiatives and make efforts to give back to their fans and supporters.
