Framingham State University has a long history of football success, dating back to 1894. The current iteration of the team, the Rams, have continued that legacy with consistent winning seasons. The team plays in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC), where they have won seven conference titles in the past decade.

The Rams are no strangers to the national spotlight either, having advanced to the NCAA Division III playoffs six times in the past ten years. In fact, they made it all the way to the national championship game in 2018, ultimately falling to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
