Comedy has always been a great way to unwind after a long day at work and the Friday Night Standup on 8/4 did not disappoint. The artists that graced the stage put on a stellar show that left the audience in stitches from start to finish.

The night was hosted by the ever-engaging comedian, Ian Edwards who proved to be an excellent MC, warming up the audience with his sharp wit and hilarious stories. His set touched on topics such as racism, relationships and the challenges of living in America as a black immigrant, which had the crowd laughing uncontrollably.

First on the bill was comedian and writer Rae Sanni, whose refreshing take on modern-day dating and casual sex had the audience in hysterics. She tackled taboo topics with ease, making light of what are usually uncomfortable situations. Her set was well-paced, and her punchlines were delivered with perfect timing.

Next up was Alex Edelman, who went into detail about how he felt like an outcast growing up as a Jewish boy in Boston. He opened up to the audience showing his vulnerability and made light of his experiences. His delivery was on-point, and it kept the crowd engaged throughout his entire set.

Closing off the show was Rafinha Bastos, a Brazilian stand-up comedian who had the audience roaring with laughter, even though most members of the crowd couldn't understand his language. He performed in Portuguese, but his physical humor and sharp delivery made it enjoyable for everyone, transcending the language barrier.

In addition to their unique styles, all the comedians share a knack for improv and engaging with the audience. They interacted with the crowd on a personal level, sparking laughter in unexpected moments and demonstrating an admirable ability to think on their feet.

Overall, the Friday Night Standup on 8/4 proved to be a great night out for anyone who loves comedy. From Ian Edwards' opening monologue to Rafinha Bastos' killer closing set, the line-up was packed with comedians that delivered solid performances that will leave you laughing long after the show has ended. Without a doubt, it was a night to remember – and one that left everyone wishing they could do it all over again.
