Founded in 1996, the Chiefs have won two Super Rugby titles in their history – in 2012 and 2013. They have also been runners-up on four occasions and have reached the playoffs nine times in total.

Looking ahead, there is reason for optimism at the Gallagher Chiefs. They have a talented squad of players, including All Blacks Cane, McKenzie, and Anton Lienert-Brown, and are under the leadership of head coach Clayton McMillan.
