Goshen College has a long-standing tradition of excellence in academics, community engagement, and athletics. The Maple Leafs have consistently performed well in the Crossroads League, which is one of the most competitive leagues in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
The Goshen Maple Leafs basketball team has had several standout seasons in recent years, thanks to the leadership of their head coach Jon Tropf. The team finished third in the 2019-2020 season with an impressive record of 22-10. The Maple Leafs’ success on the court can be attributed to their teamwork, discipline, and hard work both on and off the court.
The women's basketball team, under the leadership of Head Coach Stephanie Miller, also continues to show great promise. They made an appearance in the NAIA national tournament in 2018 and hope to continue this trajectory.
In addition to basketball, the Maple Leafs’ men’s soccer team has also seen recent success. The team finished the 2019 season with a record of 15 wins, five losses, and two ties. The women's soccer team has also made strides in recent years, making it to the NAIA national tournament for the first time in the program’s history in 2019.
The Goshen Maple Leafs also excel in cross country and track and field. Their athletes consistently perform at high levels, and several have earned individual honors such as All-American recognition. Additionally, they regularly compete in the NAIA national championship events.
Off the field, the Maple Leafs have a strong commitment to community service. The athletic department has partnered with local organizations to give back through volunteering, fundraising, and awareness campaigns.
Overall, the Goshen Maple Leafs are an impressive athletic program that has achieved success both on and off the field. Their outstanding coaches and talented athletes are sure to continue making positive contributions to the school community and collegiate sports for years to come.
