Prior to this appointment, he had conducted several concerts with the orchestra as a guest artist.
From 2014 - 2021, Grant Llewellyn served as the Music Director of the North Carolina Symphony, where he led the ensemble in a wide range of programs and performances. During his tenure with the orchestra, he was widely credited with expanding the repertoire of the North Carolina Symphony.
