H1GHR MUSIC TOUR 2018 in Los Angeles Brings the Heat to the Concert Scene
Los Angeles has long been known as the entertainment capital of the world. With its vibrant music scene, it’s no surprise that some of the biggest names in music have graced the city’s stages over the years. This year, H1GHR MUSIC, a global hip-hop label founded by Korean-American rapper Jay Park, brought their H1GHR MUSIC TOUR 2018 to Los Angeles.
The tour, which also stopped in Seattle, New York City, and Toronto, featured some of H1GHR MUSIC’s most talented artists including Jay Park, GroovyRoom, Sik-K, PH-1, and Woodie Gochild. The label, which was co-founded by artist Cha Cha Malone, aims to bring diverse voices and styles to the forefront of the global music scene.
At the Los Angeles show, held on August 24th at The Novo, the energy was palpable from the moment fans entered the venue. As concertgoers streamed in, they were greeted by a lively pre-show DJ set that created a festive vibe before the main event.
Many fans came dressed in H1GHR MUSIC apparel or outfits paying homage to their favorite artists. Some even made signs expressing their love for the label and its artists.
When the lights finally dimmed and the cheers grew louder, the first artist to take the stage was prolific producer and beatmaker GroovyRoom. Known for crafting infectious hooks and mesmerizing beats, GroovyRoom kept the crowd moving with tracks like “Paradise” and “Sunday,” featuring labelmates Jay Park and Heize.
Next up was rapper Sik-K, who proved why he’s one of the most exciting emerging talents in the game with his blend of rapid-fire rhymes and smooth delivery. His performance of “ADDICT,” featuring H1GHR MUSIC co-founder Cha Cha Malone, brought the audience to their feet.
One of the standout performances of the night came from rapper Woodie Gochild, whose charismatic stage presence and infectious energy had fans singing along to tracks like “Forever” and “Muse.”
The main event, of course, was when Jay Park finally took the stage. As an internationally renowned artist with a devoted fanbase, Park’s entrance elicited deafening screams from the crowd.
Backed by his signature dancers, Park launched into a fiery rendition of “FSU,” his anthem for staying true to oneself no matter what critics may say. The setlist included hits like “Me Like Yuh” and “All I Wanna Do,” but also showcased deeper cuts like “Raw Sh!t” and “Aquaman” that had longtime fans rapping every word.
Throughout the show, H1GHR MUSIC’s artists demonstrated their artistry and prowess as performers, showing why they’re among the most exciting names in hip-hop today.
For fans who came out to the show, it was a night they won’t soon forget. H1GHR MUSIC TOUR 2018 proved once again that Los Angeles is one of the premier destinations for music lovers, and a place where diverse voices can find a platform and thrive.
