History of Hole
Hole is an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1989. The group was founded by singer and guitarist Courtney Love and lead guitarist Eric Erlandson.
Formation and Early Years
Hole gained recognition with their second studio album, "Live Through This" released in 1994. The band's music is known for its raw energy and feminist lyrics.
Commercial Success
Their third album, "Celebrity Skin," released in 1998, marked a shift towards a more mainstream sound and garnered critical acclaim.
