The story centers around a young boy named Stanley Yelnats IV (played by Shia LaBeouf) who has been falsely accused of stealing a pair of sneakers and is sent to Camp Green Lake, a juvenile detention center in Texas. At the camp, Stanley meets a group of boys who are all digging holes as part of their punishment. However, as they dig deeper, they uncover some dark secrets and a long-dead treasure hunter named Kissin’ Kate Barlow.
