India's Day 4 in sports began on a high note, with the men's hockey team securing yet another victory over Argentina. With this win, India has now booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Tokyo Olympics and will face Great Britain on August 1.

The Indian men's hockey team has been in fantastic form in the tournament so far, winning three out of four matches. They first defeated New Zealand before suffering a narrow defeat to Australia. However, they bounced back strongly, thrashing Spain 3-0 in their previous match before their latest triumph against Argentina.

India's star striker, Mandeep Singh, scored both goals in the match against Argentina. He has been in tremendous form throughout the tournament and has scored five goals already. The Indian team will be counting on him to maintain his form as they bid for their maiden Olympic gold medal in hockey since 1980.

Meanwhile, it was a mixed day for India in athletics. Indian sprinter Dutee Chand missed out on qualifying for the women's 100m semi-finals after finishing seventh in her heat with a time of 11.54 seconds. However, Avinash Sable advanced to the men's 3000m steeplechase final after finishing sixth in his heat with a personal best timing of 8:18.12.

In shooting, Indian shooter Sanjeev Rajput failed to qualify for the men's 50m rifle 3 positions final, finishing 32nd overall. However, Indian shooters Manu Bhaker and Rahi Sarnobat have qualified for the women's 25m pistol final.

In table tennis, both of India's mixed doubles pairs bowed out in the round of 16. Achanta Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra lost to Chinese Taipei's Lin Yun-Ju and Cheng I-Ching, while Sutirtha Mukherjee and Sharath Kamal went down to South Korea's An Jaehyun and Yang Haeun.

Overall, it was a decent day for India in sports, with the men's hockey team stealing the limelight once again. The Indian contingent will be looking to build on its momentum as the Tokyo Olympics enters its second week.
