Johnson & Wales (RI) Wildcats Womens Basketball Tickets

Johnson & Wales University (RI) Wildcats women's basketball team is one of the many college women's basketball teams in the country. College women’s basketball has grown rapidly in recent years with the rise of talented players, high-level coaches, and an ever-increasing popularity among fans.

The Wildcats compete in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, which is made up of eight teams from the New England area. The team is led by head coach Kim Dweck, who enters her fourth season at the helm for the Wildcats. Coach Dweck has been praised for her ability to recruit top talent and develop them into cohesive teams that compete at a high level.

The Johnson & Wales Wildcats women's basketball team has had their fair share of success over the years. They have won the conference tournament five times out of the last six years, earning a bid to the NCAA Division III national tournament each time. In 2019, they made it to the Sweet Sixteen before falling to Bowdoin College.

In addition to on-court success, the Wildcats women's basketball team is also committed to academic excellence. They have earned the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll every year since its inception in 1999. This honor recognizes teams across all divisions of women’s basketball who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The Wildcats women's basketball team has also been recognized for their community service efforts. In 2020, they received the Jostens Community Service Award for Division III women's basketball. This award recognizes teams for outstanding volunteer work and community involvement.

College women's basketball has come a long way since its early days. Today, there are numerous competitive conferences and teams that offer student-athletes the opportunity to compete at a high level while earning a valuable education. And while the Wildcats women's basketball team is just one small part of this larger picture, they are doing their part to advance the game and set an example for others to follow.
