The Kansas City Command was a professional indoor football team that competed in the Arena Football League from 2011 to 2012. The team was based in Kansas City, Missouri, and played their home games at the Sprint Center.

The Command had a short-lived but interesting history during their brief stint in the AFL. The team was originally founded as the Kansas City Brigade in 2006 and played for three seasons before suspending operations in 2009 due to financial issues. The franchise was revived in 2011 under a new name and with renewed energy.

The Command's roster featured a mix of experienced AFL players and up-and-coming talents. Quarterback Matt Gutierrez led the team's offense, while linebacker Jamar Ransom anchored the defense. The Command struggled in their first season, winning just four games and missing out on the playoffs. However, they showed promise and gave fans hope for future success.

In 2012, the Command made some notable changes in an attempt to improve their performance. They brought in new head coach Danton Barto and signed veteran AFL quarterback Shane Boyd to replace Gutierrez. The team got off to a decent start but suffered a setback when Boyd sustained a season-ending injury in May. Despite the setback, the Command managed to finish the season with a better record than the previous year, with six wins and ten losses.

Unfortunately, the Command's progress was short-lived. The team was forced to suspend operations after the 2012 season due to ongoing financial difficulties. The Command never returned to the field, leaving many fans disappointed and wondering if Kansas City would ever have a professional indoor football team again.

Overall, the Kansas City Command had a brief but memorable run in the AFL. While they never achieved great success, they provided entertainment for their fans and left a mark on the city's sports scene. It remains to be seen if another indoor football team will come to Kansas City, but the memories of the Command will live on for their supporters.
