Lahav Shani is a renowned pianist, composer, and conductor known for his exceptional performances in classical music. He was born on 7 April 1989 in Tel Aviv, Israel and has made significant contributions to the music industry, particularly in classical music.

Shani began playing piano at the age of five, and by the time he was seven years old, he had already gained recognition as a prodigy in the field. During his teenage years, he took part in numerous international competitions, where he showcased his musical prowess and won several awards.

Subsequently, Lahav Shani studied piano at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University. He also learned composition and conducting, which broadened his knowledge in the field and provided him with a broader perspective on classical music.

Shani's career in classical music began to gain traction after he won the Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition in Germany in 2013. This feat opened doors for him as he was subsequently invited to conduct various orchestras worldwide, including the Wiener Symphoniker, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Israel Philharmonic.

Shani began his tenure as Chief Conductor of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra in the 2018-19 season, where he demonstrated his ability to lead and inspire artists to produce exceptional performances. He also worked with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, and Berlin Philharmonic, among others.

In 2021, Lahav Shani became the youngest conductor to lead the prestigious Vienna Philharmonic New Year's concert at the age of 31. The performance was aired in over 90 countries worldwide and showcased his remarkable skills in classical music.
