One of the premier organizations in MMA is Legacy Fighting Alliance, or LFA for short. Established in 2017 from a merger between two other organizations, LFA has quickly become one of the most respected promotions in the industry. With a roster of talented fighters from all around the world, LFA events are always packed with high-level action.
On October 13th, 2017, LFA held their 24th event in Phoenix, Arizona. Dubbed LFA 24, the card featured several exciting matchups, including a headlining bout between Matthew Frincu and Curtis Millender.
Frincu and Millender, both welterweights (170 lbs), had been on impressive win streaks leading up to their matchup. Frincu had won his last four fights, while Millender had won his last five.
The fight was expected to be a closely contested battle, and it did not disappoint. For three rounds, both fighters exchanged powerful strikes and grappling exchanges, with each trying to gain the upper hand. In the end, it was Millender who came out on top, winning by unanimous decision.
In addition to the main event, LFA 24 also featured several other notable fights. In the co-main event, Vinicius Zani defeated Joey Miolla by TKO in the first round. Other winners included Mackenzie Dern, who submitted Mandy Polk in the first round, and Cory Sandhagen, who defeated Randy Steinke by TKO in the second round.
Overall, LFA 24 was another great showcase for MMA fans who were looking for high-quality fights featuring some of the best up-and-coming fighters in the sport. With LFA continuing to grow and expand, it's clear that their events will continue to be must-see events for MMA fans around the world.
