Born on the 16th of May 1964, in Kew, South West London, Milton Jones was raised in a creative environment by his father who was an artist and his mother a teacher. After studying drama at the University of Bristol, he trained at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, before deciding to pursue a career in comedy.
Jones’ first major break came when he won the Time Out Award for Best Newcomer in 1996, followed by the Perrier Comedy Award nomination in 1997. Since then, he has become a regular on UK stage and television screens, becoming well known for appearances on mock panel shows such as Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
His style of comedy is distinctive for its absurdity, unpredictability, and wordplay. Milton Jones' jokes are usually characterised by his use of startling imagery, surreal concepts and puns, which create an atmosphere of light-hearted whimsy and intellectual playfulness. His humor often hinges on the unexpected twists and turns of the puns he delivers but presented in a straight-faced manner.
