Comedy and pageantry may not seem like the most obvious pair, but for Ms. Arkansas, it's a winning combination.

Kelsey Stone, better known as Ms. Arkansas, is not your typical beauty queen. Yes, she's got the looks and the poise, but she also has a sharp sense of humor and a passion for comedy. In fact, she's been performing stand-up comedy since before she even entered the pageant world.

Stone's love for comedy started at a young age, when she would watch shows like "Saturday Night Live" and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" with her family. As she got older, she started writing her own jokes and performing at local open mic nights.

When she decided to enter the pageant circuit, some people questioned whether her comedic skills were appropriate for a pageant contestant. But Stone refused to compromise who she was or what she loved to do. Instead, she embraced her unique talent and used it to set herself apart from the competition.

At the Miss Arkansas pageant in 2017, Stone wowed the judges with her comedic monologue about her experiences growing up as a small-town girl in Arkansas. She earned a standing ovation from the audience, and ultimately took home the title of Miss Arkansas.

Since then, Stone has continued to incorporate comedy into her pageant performances and appearances. In 2018, she competed in the Miss America pageant and brought down the house with her hilarious rendition of the classic children's book "Goodnight Moon."

But Stone's comedy isn't just limited to pageants. She's been featured on the popular comedic web series "The Try Guys," and has performed at comedy clubs across the country. She even co-hosted the red carpet pre-show at the 2019 CMA Awards.

What sets Stone apart from other comedians is her ability to combine her wit and humor with her platform as a pageant contestant. She uses her platform to raise awareness for important issues, such as mental health and suicide prevention. And she does it all with a smile on her face and a quick quip at the ready.
