Ms. Pat, or Patricia Williams, is a stand-up comedian and actress known for her outrageous stories and honest humor. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1972 and raised in poverty by her mother and grandmother. Despite experiencing drug addiction, teenage pregnancies, and abusive relationships, Ms. Pat found refuge in comedy and turned her struggles into inspiration for her jokes.

Ms. Pat started performing stand-up comedy in 2003 at an open mic night in Indianapolis. She quickly gained attention for her raw and unapologetic approach to comedy, sharing personal anecdotes that were equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking. Her stage presence was described as “electric” and her jokes as “delivered with precision.” She has since performed at various comedy clubs, festivals, and television shows such as The Bob & Tom Show, This Is Not Happening, and Last Comic Standing.

Ms. Pat’s material tackles a wide range of topics including sex, family, race, and social issues. One of her most famous bits is about stealing from a Dollar Tree store, where she hilariously details the process of getting away with cheap items like “1-ply toilet paper” and “generic Pop Tarts.” She also often shares her experiences as a mother of five children and a grandmother, making fun of the challenges of parenting while still acknowledging the love and joy it brings.

In 2017, Ms. Pat released her autobiography entitled Rabbit: The Autobiography of Ms. Pat. The book details her life story from growing up in poverty to becoming a successful comedian. It received critical acclaim and was praised for its honest and straightforward depiction of Ms. Pat’s experiences.

Ms. Pat’s success in comedy has not only been limited to stand-up. She has also appeared in various television shows and films, including appearances on The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Netflix’s The Degenerates. She also starred in a self-titled sitcom pilot for Fox that was based on her life, but unfortunately did not get picked up for a full series.

Ms. Pat’s impact in the comedy industry has been significant, especially for Black female comedians. She has opened doors and broken barriers with her unique style and voice, paving the way for others to follow. Her honesty and vulnerability on stage have made her a beloved figure amongst comedy fans and she continues to inspire and entertain audiences with her unmatched talent and humor.
