NeNe Leakes is a well-known television personality, actress and comedian who first rose to fame as a cast member on the hit reality series “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”. While her time on the show showcased her larger-than-life personality and quick wit, it wasn't until she began to take on more comedic roles that her true talent as a comedienne started to shine.

Leakes was born in Queens, New York but grew up in Athens, Georgia. After working various jobs including being a stripper and a nurse's assistant, Leakes landed a gig as a radio personality.
