Conductor of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, Jaap van Zweden, spoke about the importance of music education and shared his passion for working with young musicians. Guest of honor, John Turturro, gave a heartfelt speech about his love for classical music and how it has shaped his life and career.
One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the NYMF’s Lifetime Achievement Award to pianist Emanuel Ax. Ax has been a fixture in the classical music world for over four decades and has won numerous awards, including seven Grammy Awards.
Throughout the night, guests mingled and chatted with fellow classical music enthusiasts, enjoying the ambience of the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Hotel and soaking up the magic of the performances.
