North Texas Mean Green Tickets

The North Texas Mean Green is a women's basketball team that represents the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. The team currently competes in Conference USA and has a proud history of success in college women’s basketball.

North Texas began playing women’s basketball during the 1974-75 season. Since then, the team has played their home games at The Super Pit, which has a seating capacity of over 10,000 spectators. Over the years, the Mean Green have become synonymous with exciting basketball that draws in large crowds of fans both on campus and from surrounding communities.

One of the most notable moments in the team’s history was their Conference USA championship win in 2018. Led by head coach Jalie Mitchell, the team defeated the Rice Owls 76-63 to secure their first-ever conference championship. The Mean Green went on to compete in the NCAA Tournament that year, where they put up a valiant effort against eventual national champions Notre Dame before ultimately falling short.

Beyond their success on the court, the Mean Green have also been recognized for their commitment to academic excellence. In 2020, three players were named to the Conference USA All-Academic team, highlighting their hard work and dedication both in the classroom and on the court.
