Scott Pemberton Tickets

Scott Pemberton is a well-known figure in the boxing world, starting his professional boxing career in 1992. He is from New Bedford, Massachusetts, and has had an eventful career as a boxer.

Pemberton turned professional at the age of 22 and quickly rose up the ranks in the light heavyweight division. His first 17 fights saw him win all of them, including victories against some top-ranked contenders. In 1997, he fought for his first title against Antoine Byrd but was defeated by unanimous decision.

Pemberton didn't let this loss set him back and went on to win his next four fights, including three knockout victories. In August 2000, he finally won his first championship belt: the USBA (United States Boxing Association) Super Middleweight title. He successfully defended his title twice before losing it in 2001 to Sven Ottke in Germany.

But Pemberton's resilience once again showed as he bounced back with two impressive wins, knocking out Eric Harding and knocking down Omar Sheika six times in one bout before the referee stopped it. These victories earned him another shot at a world title, this time against IBF champion Jeff Lacy.

Unfortunately for Pemberton, Lacy proved to be too strong and too slick of a boxer, defeating him by TKO in the fourth round.

After this loss, Pemberton continued to fight but struggled to find the same success he once had. His last fight was in 2007, finishing his career with a record of 29 wins (24 by knockout), 5 losses, and 1 draw.

Despite not securing the world title that he desired, Pemberton's determination and heart in the ring made him a fan favorite and a respected figure in the sport. He always gave it his all, never backing down from a challenge, and leaving his heart and soul in the ring every time.

Today, Pemberton is retired and enjoying life outside of the sport, but his legacy lives on in the memories of the fans who cheered him on throughout his career and the aspiring boxers who look up to him as an example of what it means to have true grit.
