Directions to Riverfront Stadium
Riverfront Stadium was one of the most iconic sports venues of its time, serving as the home to the Cincinnati Reds for over thirty years. But beyond its legacy in the world of baseball, Riverfront Stadium also served as a premier event venue, attracting both local and national acts throughout its existence.

Originally built in 1970, Riverfront Stadium quickly became a hub of activity in Cincinnati. The stadium’s massive capacity, accommodating over 52,000 people, made it an ideal location for major events like concerts, festivals, and even political rallies. The stadium was equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual systems, making it an ideal location for large-scale productions.

Over the years, numerous legendary performers graced the stage at Riverfront Stadium. Iconic musicians such as Michael Jackson, U2, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Guns N’ Roses, and Bruce Springsteen all performed at the stadium during their respective tours. Riverfront Stadium had a unique charm that made it the perfect venue for large outdoor concerts, with its open-air design and sweeping views of the Cincinnati skyline.

Other popular events hosted at Riverfront Stadium included civic gatherings, high school graduations, and various religious conferences. The stadium's size allowed for multiple events to be held simultaneously without disturbing each other, creating a diverse range of experiences for visitors.

Despite being primarily known as a sports venue, Riverfront Stadium proved to be much more than that. It provided entertainment and excitement to millions of people from all walks of life, making it an important part of the city’s cultural identity.

Unfortunately, Riverfront Stadium was eventually demolished in 2002, making way for Great American Ball Park, which now serves as the home of the Reds. While Riverfront Stadium may no longer exist, its impact on the city of Cincinnati will not be forgotten. It will always be remembered as a place where memories were made, dreams were fulfilled, and where people came together to celebrate life.
