Surprise Stadium Details
When the Kansas City Royals moved spring training facilities to Arizona in 2003, it was the first time the team had not trained in Florida in team history. In 1969 through 1987 the team trained in Terry Park in Ft. Myers (a facility that's still around, if you want to visit), while in 1988 the team moved to the brand-new Baseball City in central Florida.
