Completed in 2006 Glendale Stadium, also known as Cardinals Stadium, features a slide out tray that allows the 94,000 square feet (over 2 acres) of grass to soak up the Arizona sun. On game days the tray will take 45 minutes to bring the field into the stadium and under the roof where football fans can enjoy a game without having to roast in 120 degree sun. The 12 million pound tray is 400 feet long and 234 feet wde and is the first of its kind in Nort America. The sliding tray is expected to save about $50 million in costs since the arena can be kept cool while the natural grass soaks in the rays. The stadium will house 63,000 permanent seats, but is capable of expanding to 73,000 seats for large events such as the 2008 Super Bowl. The stadium features 7500 club level seats that offer the best site lines and finest amenities found in the facility. Private entrances for club level ticket holders allow exclusive access to club lounges that include expanded food menus and full service bars. Children's Ticket Policy Children 2 years old or younger are not required to have a ticket provided they obtain a "lap pass" from the ticket office on the day of the game. The child receiving the lap pass must be present for a lap pass to be issued. There is a limit of one lap pass per adult ticket.
