When it comes to college football, there are countless teams and programs that come to mind. However, one team that may not receive as much recognition is the Seton Hill Griffins Football program. The division II program located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania has been an up-and-coming force in recent years, and deserves to be recognized for their ongoing success.

Founded in 1885, Seton Hill University has always had a strong focus on athletics. Although the football program was not established until the 2005 season, it has quickly grown into a competitive force in the Division II level. After only a few seasons, the Griffins were able to claim divisional championship titles in 2007 and 2009.

Under the direction of head coach Daniel Day, the Seton Hill football program continues to excel both on and off the field. In addition to consistently competing at a high level, the team prides themselves on academic excellence and community involvement. In fact, Seton Hill has received multiple awards recognizing their athletes’ achievements in the classroom, and the team volunteers annually with local charities and causes.

Despite being smaller than some of their Division II counterparts, Seton Hill provides their players with top-notch facilities and training opportunities. Their home field, Offutt Field, features a state-of-the-art turf surface as well as a modern scoreboard and sound system. Additionally, the athletic training and weight-lifting programs offered at Seton Hill are constantly evolving to meet the needs of their athletes.

The Seton Hill Griffins Football program may not be as well-known as some of their Division I counterparts, but they are certainly making their mark in the world of college football. With continued growth and success, the Griffins have the potential to become a true powerhouse in Division II football.
