Additionally, both programs have been successful in recruiting talented players from across the country.
One area where both programs excel is their commitment to academic success. In the fall of 2020, both teams posted high grade point averages (GPAs), with the softball team recording a collective 3.70 GPA and the baseball team finishing with a 3.39 GPA.
Overall, SIUE Cougars Softball and Baseball programs are expected to be competitive in their respective leagues this season. While their journeys may be distinct, both teams share a passion for the game and a desire to succeed both on and off the field.
