Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Cougars Basketball Tickets

The Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Cougars Basketball program is a relatively young program compared to some of the more established college basketball programs around the country. However, that's not to say that they haven't made a name for themselves in their short tenure.

The Cougars have been playing NCAA Division I basketball since 2008 when they moved up from Division II. Since then, they've been a member of the Ohio Valley Conference and have steadily improved over the years.

While they've yet to win a conference championship, they have made it to the conference tournament several times. In fact, the team advanced to the semifinals of the OVC Tournament in 2013 and 2017. Additionally, they've been to the CBI tournament twice in 2012 and 2018.

One of the most notable players in the history of the program is Kris Davis. He played for the Cougars from 2011-2015 and set a school record for career points with over 1,900. Davis was also named the OVC Player of the Year in 2015.

Playing at the college level always comes with its challenges. But being a smaller program in a mid-major conference can make it even more difficult. However, during the course of their history, the Southern Illinois-Edwardsville Cougars have proved that they are a program that can compete with some of the best teams in the country.

Looking forward, the Cougars will continue to work hard, grind out wins, and strive for greatness. While they may not be one of the biggest names in college basketball, they certainly have the potential to surprise people and make a name for themselves on the national stage.
