Swarthmore Garnet Basketball Tickets

Swarthmore Garnet basketball may not be the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of college basketball. However, the team has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s and has produced several successful players who have gone on to play professionally.

The Swarthmore Garnet men’s basketball team competes in Division III of the NCAA and is a member of the Centennial Conference. The team has won five conference championships and has made eight appearances in the NCAA tournament, including a Final Four run in 1991. In recent years, the team has consistently been ranked among the top 25 teams in Division III.

One notable player to come out of Swarthmore Garnet basketball is Jesse Arnelle, who played for the team in the 1950s before going on to play professionally in the NBA and ABA. Arnelle was a three-time All-American at Swarthmore and is considered one of the greatest players in school history.

Another standout player for Swarthmore was Ian McCormick, who played for the team from 2007-2010. During his time at Swarthmore, McCormick set the school record for career points with 2,136 and was named a Division III All-American. He also had a brief stint playing in Europe after graduation.

While Swarthmore Garnet basketball may not have the same level of national recognition as some other college basketball programs, the team has a strong tradition of success and produces talented players year after year.
