The Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles basketball team is the men's basketball program that represents Tennessee Technological University, a public research institution located in Cookeville, Tennessee. The Golden Eagles are a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) and play their home games at the Hooper Eblen Center, which can hold up to 9,280 spectators.

While the Golden Eagles may not be as well-known as some of the powerhouse programs in college basketball, they have had success throughout their history. Since joining the OVC in 1949, Tennessee Tech has won two conference championships and made six NCAA Tournament appearances. He was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 58th overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft. While he didn't find sustained success in the NBA, he has played professionally overseas and is considered one of the best players in Chinese Basketball Association history.

Current head coach John Pelphrey has also had success both as a player and coach at the Division I level. Pelphrey played at the University of Kentucky under legendary coach Joe B. Hall before being drafted by the Detroit Pistons in 1990. He has served as an assistant coach for both Kentucky and Florida before taking over at Tennessee Tech in 2019.
