The City School Class Clowns Comedy Fundraiser 2016 Tickets

The event was organized by the non-profit organization, The City School, which seeks to provide education and empowering resources to individuals who are marginalized or living in poverty. With an aim to raise funds for their programs, The City School brought together a lineup of talented comedians for the night’s entertainment.

Hosted by comedian Dena Jackson, the event featured some of Canada's best stand-up comedians such as Habib Siam, Zabrina Chevannes, Adrian Sawyer, Tom O'Donnell and Aisha Brown. Each performer presented unique comedic perspectives on various social situations such as politics, relationships, religion, and economy. Their clever observations and witty humor allowed attendees to forget about life's struggles and enjoy a night of laughs.

The goal of the evening was not just to entertain but also to raise funds for The City School’s programs which provides supportive education, healthy meals, skill-building and counselling support programs for low-income families and individuals. Attendees were also given an opportunity to donate to the cause through a silent auction and a raffle.

The event was not only a success in terms of raising funds but also in promoting public awareness about the issues of inequity and marginalization within society. According to The City School Executive Director, Beverly Kreller: "It brings attention to our mission, the work we do, and the challenges that people in the city face every day."
