The UW-Milwaukee baseball team competes in the Horizon League, one of the top conferences in NCAA Division I baseball. The conference includes some of the best programs in the Midwest, such as Wright State, Oakland, and Illinois-Chicago.
The Panthers have had a great deal of success over the years, winning numerous conference championships and making several appearances in the NCAA Tournament. In fact, the team has made it to the NCAA Tournament six times, including most recently in 2016. The team has also produced several All-Americans and MLB draft picks, including Daulton Varsho, currently a starting catcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
One of the reasons why the UW-Milwaukee baseball program has been so successful is because of their commitment to excellence both on and off the field. The team’s academic success has always been a priority, with a strong emphasis on helping student-athletes succeed in the classroom. The Panthers consistently have one of the highest team GPAs in the Horizon League, and they have even earned recognition from the NCAA for their academic achievements.
While the Panthers have had plenty of individual successes, the team is even more proud of their overall culture and dedication to the sport of baseball. They value hard work, determination, and teamwork – all qualities that have helped them win games throughout the years.
