Vic Alejandro is a household name if you're into the Philippine comedy scene. He's an actor, comedian, and TV host who rose to fame in the 90s with his game show, “Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman". Today, he's considered one of the pioneers of modern Filipino comedy.

Born on August 13, 1946, Vic is a native of Tondo, Manila. His early years were spent performing in Bacolod City where he eventually found his passion for comedy. He started out by performing stand-up comedy in local bars and clubs, before moving to television.

It wasn’t long before Vic caught the attention of bigwigs in the entertainment industry, such as television mogul German Moreno or “Kuya Germs”, and was invited to perform several times on his shows. This marked the start of Vic’s flourishing career in show business.

Throughout his career, Vic has starred in numerous comedies on the big screen, from comedic relief roles to lead actors. "Bakit Ba Ganyan?" (Why Is That?), a cult classic romantic comedy film, is probably one of the most memorable movies that Vic appeared in. The film was so popular that it spawned some dance craze among Filipinos during the same era it was released.

Aside from his acting career, Vic is also widely known as a game show host. "Walang Tulugan with The Master Showman” aired every Saturday night from 1997 until it ended on January 23, 2016. The show became a staple Saturday night viewing for many Filipinos due to its live and interactive format.

One of the remarkable things about Vic Alejandro's brand of comedy is his clean humor. Despite the challenges of being in a competitive industry, he stuck to his guns and delivered content that didn’t rely on vulgarity or offensive jokes. He proved that you can make people laugh without compromising good taste.

Today, Vic may not be as active in the entertainment industry as he used to be. Still, his influence on Philippine comedy is undeniable. He paved the way for many comedians who followed in his footsteps and inspired them to create quality content that uplifts people's spirits.

In conclusion, Vic Alejandro played a significant role in shaping the Philippine comedy scene by being one of its pioneers and leading figures. Despite having been in the industry for more than five decades, his brand of humor remained relevant up until today. Long live to the master showman!
