In recent years, some notable teams have made it to the 3A/4A Supersectionals. In 2020, the Whitney Young Dolphins made it to the 4A Supersectional but ultimately fell to Simeon. Two years earlier, the Evanston Wildkits advanced to the 4A Supersectional but lost to the eventual state champions, Belleville West.
What’s interesting about the Supersectionals is that they often showcase different playing styles. Some teams may rely heavily on fast-paced offense, while others might play a more defensive game.
