The New Mexico State Aggies, the men's basketball team of New Mexico State University, had a season to remember in 2014-15. Led by head coach Marvin Menzies, the Aggies finished with an impressive 23-11 record and went unbeaten in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) regular season with a perfect 13-0 mark.

Their success came on the back of a balanced attack that saw five players average double figures in scoring. Leading the way was senior guard Daniel Mullings who put up 12.6 points per game while also chipping in with 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per outing.

Fellow seniors Tshilidzi Nephawe and Remi Barry were also key contributors. Nephawe, a center/forward, averaged 11.3 points and a team-high 7.2 rebounds, while Barry, a forward, posted 10.8 points and 4.9 boards per game.

The Aggies' success wasn't limited to just offense, however. They ranked second in the WAC in both scoring defense (63.0 points per game allowed) and rebounding margin (+3.4), showing their ability to win in different ways.

New Mexico State's conference dominance continued in the WAC Tournament where they won their third straight championship and secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies were seeded 15th and faced off against second-seeded Kansas in the Round of 64.

Despite putting up a valiant effort, the Aggies fell to the Jayhawks 75-56, ending their tournament run. However, the season as a whole was one to be proud of for New Mexico State, as they extended their streak of 20-win seasons to four and further solidified themselves as a top program in the WAC.

Looking ahead, the Aggies will have to replace the production of their senior trio of Mullings, Nephawe, and Barry. But with a strong returning core led by junior guard Ian Baker (9.3 points per game) and sophomore forward Pascal Siakam (7.4 points, 5.8 rebounds), New Mexico State should once again be in the mix for a conference championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament in the upcoming season.
