The men's basketball program at Seton Hill University has produced some of the finest players in the history of college basketball. These players have gone on to successful careers in the NBA and other professional leagues, including William Hynicka, who played for the New York Knicks, and Mike Iuzzolino, who played for the Dallas Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors.
The Seton Hill Griffins' success is not just limited to individual achievements and accolades, however. The team has regularly competed in the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Championship, which is widely regarded as one of the most competitive conferences in all of Division II basketball. In 2008, Seton Hill made it to the conference championship game but lost to Slippery Rock University.
More recently, the team has been building momentum under head coach Tony Morocco. Morocco has been with the program for over a decade now and has helped the Griffins reach new heights of success on the court. Since taking over as head coach, he has led the team to its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2015. In his tenure as head coach, Morocco has also recruited some of the top players in the region, including All-American point guard Max Kenyi.
