Trinity Catholic High School, located in Stamford, Connecticut, has a long-standing reputation for its success in basketball. The school's rich tradition of basketball excellence dates back to the 1970s, when the team was known as the Crusaders.

Over the years, Trinity Catholic has produced some of the most talented high school basketball players in the state, many of whom have gone on to successful college and even professional careers. Notable alumni include NBA players Craig Austrie (Memphis Grizzlies) and Earl Johnson (Milwaukee Bucks).

Under the leadership of head coach Mike Walsh, Trinity Catholic has won six state championships, including three in the past ten years. These recent victories were made possible through the efforts of former standout players such as Schadrac Casimir and Tremaine Fraiser.

Casimir, who played point guard for Trinity Catholic from 2011-2014, led the team to back-to-back state championships in his junior and senior years. After graduating, he went on to play college basketball at Iona College, where he was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Year in his first season.

Fraiser, another Trinity Catholic alumnus who played for the team from 2013-2016, helped lead the team to the Class S state championship in his senior year. He went on to play college basketball at Southern New Hampshire University, where he was a standout player and earned All-Region honors.

While Trinity Catholic's basketball program has experienced many successes, it has also faced challenges over the years. In 2018, the school announced that it would be closing due to declining enrollment and financial struggles. However, thanks to a last-minute fundraising effort by alumni and supporters, the school was able to remain open and continue to offer its athletic programs to students.
